One of the most important things we can do as a society is protecting the most vulnerable. It is imperative that we do everything to protect innocent, unborn life. This issue is about values and we need to reach out and help women who experience unexpected pregnancies and increase education about possible options and improve those options.
- Stop embryonic stem cell research – Adult stem cells are readily available and there is no reason to destroy embryos for research that can be conducted in many other ways.
- Provide more resources – Women should feel that all options are available to them during an unexpected pregnancy. There is no reason that a woman should feel that her only option is an abortion. Life is precious and we must protect it.
- Work to keep ground already gained in the fight – The partial birth abortion ban is a step in the right direction but we must hold onto these gains and fight for more.
